Registration to the European examination in Paediatric respiratory medicine

European Diploma

NEWS: Please note that starting 2017 ERS HERMES examination in Milan, current post-graduate trainees in their final year of training in Paediatric respiratory medicine can register for the European Diploma category.

NEWS: On 27 October 2017, a European Diploma category examination in Paediatric respiratory medicine will take place for the first time in Bangalore, India via APPS. Only candidates practicing in Asia can register for this venue. To register for this examination, contact APPS directly: apps.medisociety (at) gmail.com

Successful completion of the examination will result in the European Diploma in Paediatric respiratory medicine. Final-year post-graduate trainees will receive their European Diploma after completing their training.


Applicants must have all the following criteria

  • ERS member: find out more how to become an ERS member
  • Qualified medical practitioner with current full medical registration (except final-year trainees)
  • Qualified specialist in Paediatric respiratory medicine OR a current final-year post-graduate trainee in Paediatric respiratory medicine
  • In good professional standing

Step 1 Prepare documentation as electronic copies less than 2MB

  • University-awarded medical degree
  • Current certificate of full medical registration (except final-year trainees)
  • National accreditation or written equivalent as a specialist in Paediatric respiratory medicine
    OR Attestation of current position as a final-year trainee in Paediatric respiratory medicine
  • Curriculum Vitae according to completed CV template
  • Recent photograph
  • OPTIONAL: It is optional to include a letter of endorsement (for example, from the head of your hospital or from your National Society President or Secretary General) Download letter of endorsement template

Self-assessment

Successful completion of the examination will not result in the European Diploma. Participants will receive a subscore analysis based on the examination blueprint and the group median of other participants. In addition, participants will know the pass/fail limit set for the Diploma candidates in order to provide a useful benchmark.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Withdrawal from the Examination: Notice of withdrawal must be sent in writing to the ERS, Education Activities Department.There is no refund of the examination fee. Fees cannot be transferred to the next examination.

Notification of registration: You will receive a notification email upon completion of your registration. Please allow 4-6 weeks to process your registration. You will then receive confirmation and further examination instructions.
